Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Reviewing and comprehend blueprints, drawings or specifications for the job.
  • Will be developing, building, installing and maintaining equipment.
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Maintains tools and repairs equipment to optimum working condition. Uses proper tools and equipment safely to complete each repair.
  • Reports any safety related issues or accidents to management immediately.
  • Maintains complete documentation for each manufacturing machine regarding repairs, upgrades and other relevant data.
  • Secures tools, materials and equipment in the proper area at the end of each day.
  • Availability to work approved overtime, at times with minimal notice.


Physical Requirements:


  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Occasional movement inside the office, throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Have the understanding on how to operate computer controls associated with machinery.
  • Occasional operation of manufacturing equipment. Occasional handling and placement of various sized product from assembly line to final packaging.
  • Frequent operation of hand and power tools, as well as warehouse equipment.
  • Occasionally positions self to retrieve items from low shelving, under desks and tables and lower areas of equipment. Occasionally ascends / descends ladders.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and attention to small detail.
  • Occasional movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent communication with employees is required. Must be able to exchange accurate information.


Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts; occasional hot and cold temperatures and moderate noise levels.



  • Language: Ability to read, print and write simple sentences clearly and effectively.
  • Math: Ability to accurately add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.  Also, to perform these operations using weight, measurement, volume and distance. Ability to count quickly and accurately.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instruction.

  • Organization: Ability to maintain a clean and organized work station with supplies and protective wear readily accessible.
  • Professionalism: Ability to present oneself in a professional, respectable manner to all employees, customers and vendors.
  • Time Management: Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner. Punctuality in required working start times

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior related work experience helpful
  • Must understand Ladder Logic and be able to work with PLC's
